We offer Royal Enfield Himalayan dual-sport bikes, for some great guided motorcycle tours on pavement and off-road. For these, you will need a motorcycle endorsement on your driver's license, and if you choose a more adventurous off-road tour, you'll need some actual off-road riding skills.
Most tours consist of only 6-8 bikes, plus the guide, and often a chase vehicle! These bikes are very easy to ride, but when the pavement stops, riding on gravel, rocks, deep sand, and trail terrain, can be tricky, so you should have some prior experience to stay safe and upright. Each tour indicates the level of off-road riding involved, so you can choose what is best for you.
Gear; besides the bike, we provide a basic selection of helmets and gloves, but also knee/shin guards, and armor protective jackets. We also offer optional rentals of enduro-style armored jackets.
If you have gear that you own and like, you are more than welcome to bring it, as we're sure it will fit you more precisely, and you'll save a little money.
No matter what, you will need to wear a helmet, jacket, long solid material pants, sturdy boots/shoes, and gloves.
The bikes all come with a cell phone mounts. The guide's bike (or chase vehicle, if applicable) will also carry a First Aid Kit, Water, Tool Kit, Emergency Fuel, Battery Booster, Maps, Cell Phone.
These tours are lead by a very experienced guide, a certified naturalist, that will take you on some highly educational and really fun rides that not only will give you some great photography opportunities, but you'll learn a lot about the area on roads that will offer some really enjoyable mixed terrain riding.
This, is what a motorcyclist would really want to do, when visiting the greater Palm Springs area of California!
